Devendorf down, not entirely out

Stay connected for news and updates

Eric Devendorf's appeal was quickly turned around by Syracuse University officials today. The punk will indeed face suspension but may not be done as an Orange player for good.

Devendorf has to commit to 40 hours of community service, and then can apply for reinstatement. Not sure if that's just incentive to do what is being asked of him, or the door is actually still open. Nonetheless, we would like to prepare the entire body of Onondaga county, as this tatted up 21-year-old could be appearing at your next do-good event.

From a basketball standpoint, the good times may come to a halt in upstate New York. Expect Andy Rautins to step into a starting role, meaning limited scoring opportunities coming off the bench for the foreseeable future.
