Tonight's Picks

Wichita State (-3.5) over Northern Iowa - Two of the top mid-majors in the country face-off in Kansas tonight, as the Shockers look to snap Northern Iowa's 15 game winning streak. The Panthers boast five players shooting better than 40 percent from deep, and are fast becoming everyone's Cinderella. Focus on UNI's Jordan Eglesder. Will the seven-footer dominate inside?  Both teams hold opponents under 60 PPG, so expect this game to be hard fought and low scoring, with Wichita State teetering on an upset.

Georgia Tech (-1) over Clemson - Tech has been a model of inconsistency lately. Take a look at these recent results: loss at Georgia, win over Duke, loss at Virginia and then a close victory over the weekend at UNC. Tonight they’ll face a Clemson squad who has ripped off three conference victories in a row, and has climbed to #16 in the nation. We’ll see two of the top big men in the ACC go head to head as Gani Lawal (15pts; 9reb) and Trevor Booker (15pts; 8reb) battle in the post. Prized freshman Derrick Favors must assert himself tonight for the Yellowjackets to win this one. I think he does as Georgia Tech defends home court and pulls away in the end.

Alabama (+2.5) over Tennessee - What do you do when your top player and senior ‘leader’ celebrates a win over in-state rival Memphis by cruising around Knoxville hot boxing and sipping on moonshine? Lie down and quit with only six remaining scholarship players? Or notch four straight wins, knock off #1 Kansas, and climb to #8 in the national polls? Ya, I know you got the answer. Bruce Pearl’s Volunteers have surprisingly pulled together, but now tonight's game against Alabama is the Vols first roadie of the new year. Can this "Band of Brothers" extend their winning streak to seven? Eh maybe not. First year Coach Anthony Grant gets his first big win in Tuscaloosa

Last night 1-1-1
Overall 45-37-1
