If you see a plethora of pink as part of your college basketball intake this weekend, don't be alarmed. Players and coaches across the country are participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer® Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend, a collaborative initiative of the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) According to a release, participating NABC member coaches will wear sneakers instead of dress shoes with their suits during weekend games to demonstrate their support for the American Cancer Society.
Notable Coaches vs. Cancer Coaches Counil members include Roy Williams, Jim Boeheim, Mike Brey, Jim Calhoun, Mark Few and Mike Krzyzewski.
Even more impressive, is that BYU is taking it a step further for their game against Utah, as they will don unis with a pink trim complimented by pink Nikes. I've never been shy to wear a nice pink JCrew oxford during the summer, so hats off to the Cougars.
