Minnesota (+8) over #4 Purdue - Following a huge emotional victory over West Virginia, expect the Boilermakers to come back to earth and play methodically against Minnestota, who have won six of their last seven against the spread. The Golden Gophers score 80 points a game, 90 or more in four of their last seven, so if studs Blake Hoffarber and Lawrence Westbrook stay out of foul trouble they should be able to hang and keep the game close.
#2 Texas (-15) over Arkansas - Quite possibly the worst 7-7 team in college basketball history, the Razorbacks have suffered some bad losses this season (see: ETSU, South Alabama) and another one could be brewing tonight in Fayetteville. The Longhorns do two things that will likely force John Pelphrey into hysterics at some point in this game: their the best rebounding team in the country (45.7 per) and force opponents to shoot 34.5 percent from the floor. Good looks will be limited, and second looks may be non-existent.
Illinois (-15.5) over Iowa - Neither the Hawkeyes or Fighting Illini have been good bets this season (4-9 and 4-8 ATS, respectively), but something has to give. The kicker? Illinois has gone over in all Assembly Hall games this season. Tonight's game sits at 139.5 so expect Bruce Weber's balanced attack, which boasts five players averaging double-digit PPGs, to share the ball and get easy baskets in a route.
