West Virginia (-6.5) over Georgetown- These Big East games have been virtual toss-ups of late, but with the news that Georgetown guard Austin Freeman will be out with a stomach virus, it's a toss-up no more. The eighth ranked Mountaineers boast a 12-2 home record and three players averaging over 12PPG and 6RPG. Georgetown has slipped of late losing three of four, and they'll be in trouble tonight in Morgantown without their top scorer.
Utah State (-14.5) over Fresno State- Utah State may be on their way to another NCAA tournament bid as they close in on a regular season WAC championship. The Aggies will look to push their win streak to 14 and build on their resume that includes a 23-6 record and that 'signature' win over BYU. They take care of the ball (conference best 10 turnovers/game) and their fourth leading scorer is named Pooh.
Texas (-13.5) over Oklahoma- It has been quite a fall from grace for the Longhorns over the last five weeks. With the new rankings revealing Texas barely holding onto a top 25, they are looking more like a seven or eight seed rather than the number one seed they were playing like in January. Still, they are far superior than Oklahoma who is licking their wounds from six straight losses. WIthout star guard Willie Warren, they should get beat up down in Austin tonight, but of course you never know if a Rick Barnes team will show up.
