Michigan State players and coaches are [GASP!] sleeping together

In one of the most unorthodox methods of perpetration for a late season conference game, Tom Izzo informed the media today that his team spent the night, together, in the Breslin Center as part of a sleep over to get ready for Sunday's game against Purdue. Yes, like, a sleepover involving stories about girls, a few gallons of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and eye-burning NBA Live marathons. That kind of sleepover.

The plan was hatched by Draymond Green during a video session that showed a lack of communication and teamwork on defense. Every player, coach and manger in attendance was invited and ultimately attended. And while it sounds strange (if you listen, Izzo's tone in the video suggests he thought it was a little weird) the head coach reiterated that he loves making player-coach decisions, and this was certainly one of those that he will never forget.

Had the Spartans lost, I'd probably be a little more critical of this. But they escaped East Lafayette with a big win, so it can only be defined as team building at its finest.
