Harvard Sports Analysis: Call timeout at the end of the game?
I don't find this all that surprising. I have always been of the school that you should not call timeout when the game is tied (or you are down by 1-2- down 3 I could see a TO). With a timeout called, you just give the defense plenty of time to set up, instead of catching them off guard.
Marcus Jordan now under investigation for tweet
From a story from last week, the Nevada Gaming Commision Board is now investigating what happened that allowed Jordan, 19, to spend money in a Las Vegas Club. I don't think anything will come of this but it something to keep an eye on.
Lebron helping Frank Haith in recruiting?
Interesting story from Miami where Lebron showed up to play with the Hurricanes. I wonder if the superteam in Miami will have any effect on Miami's ability to pull recruits. Either way, this is a good start.
Should you foul up 3 with time running out?
An interesting study looking at last season and the results when teams had the opportunity to foul leading by 3 points.
The Jordan's trip to Vegas
Hilarious story and shows the positives (and negatives for some) of Twitter.
Jay Bilas: Dynamics have changed in evaluating an underclassman's NBA readiness
[Marshall's Hassan Whiteside] should have stayed in school. He is a freak that has all the tools but is still learning how to use them efficiently. He is really raw, and will need time to develop into a really good NBA player. And there is no telling whether he will make it in the NBA or whether the league will eat him up if he goes in unprepared. Whiteside has a chance to be special, but by leaving now, he is taking a risk.

Programs not bailing on recruit who could face jailing
"I'll take him right now," one college coach joked. "Or in three-to-five years."
Anthony DiLoreto was signed with Cal Poly last year. But then was charged with bank robbery and gun possession.
A settlement hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7 but this guy has already been offered a scholarship by Saint Louis University (and is also attracting interest from other coaches).
What If The BCS Ran College Basketball? - Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician
About as accurate as you can make it. More proof to the pudding that college football is a joke post thanksgiving day, and college basketball has it all...right.
The Big East in the Sweet 16
The Big East, the top conference this year, has five teams left in the NCAA Tournament, but only one team has looked strong so far and that is UConn.
