Let's all touch each other...

Let's all touch each other...Evan Turner is frieken awesome

Whatever doubt there was circulating through the college basketball landscape that Ohio State's Evan Turner wasn't the best player in the game has just evaporated.

What the hell was John Beilein thinking? Assembling his players in a 1-3-1 zone press that started at three-quarter court might be the worst coaching move of the season. Not only do you not guard the inbound pass, you give Turner all the space he needs to end your season. You can't justify this at all. What a hack.

Let's all touch each other...WEST VIRGINIA just won at the buzzer

You know who didn't sleep well last night? That would be Cincinnati's Dion Dixon. The Bearcats sophomore guard exhibited terrible ball handling skills late in the game, turning the rock over with just three seconds left. This allowed all-world Da'Sean Butler to drop the game winner from the top of the key, likely spoiling UC's tourney hopes and putting the Mountaineers in tonight's semi-finals.

Let's all touch each other...PITTSBURGH just won at the buzzer

The Panthers' Ashton Gibbs brings life to an otherwise boring night in college basketball, and also keeps Pitt alive for a protected #4 tournament seed. A loss to Providence would have been crippling.

Let's all touch each other...DAVIDSON just won at the buzzer

The Southern Conference: Where six points in three seconds happens. Yep, the Wildcats' Brendan McKillop and Steve Rossiter turned that improbable trick to steal a win against Elon over the weekend. Thankfully, it was all captured on what may have been a simple FlipCam.

Let's all touch each other...MARQUETTE just won at the buzzer

Marquette - St. John's had to be bumped over to Queens because a bunch of primped dogs were running around MSG, and Jimmy Butler made sure to ruin senior night at Carnesecca Arena.

The Golden Eagles are now 18-9 overall, with those losses coming by a total of 32 points. What a crazy team.

Let's all touch each other...MARYLAND just won at the buzzer

Ladies, say hello to Cliff Tucker. The junior guard will certainly have a nice Saturday night after saving the Terps this afternoon against Georgia Tech. Tucker hit a turnaround three as time expired, absolving Keith Booth who called a time out (that's right, an assistant coach had the audacity) as Greivis Vasquez hit a prayer with just over a second to play.

For Georgia Tech, they're sinking fast at 6-7 in the ACC.

Let's all touch each other...FLORIDA just won at the buzzer (again!)

Promptly after Chandler Parsons hit his second game-winning, buzzer-beating shot this season, I promptly tweeted that the junior forward has more wins in said form than the combined win total of a few crappy teams.

The final :11 seconds of basketball in the Gators-Gamecocks game is arguably the most exciting :11 seconds all season.

Let's all touch each other...UCLA just won at the buzzer

Untitled_medium

Ever heard of UCLA's Mustafa Abdul-Hamid? Good, me neither. The seldom used junior hit a game winning shot as time expired to beat Washington last night in Westwood. Yes folks,  the Pac 10 is that watered down.

Post-game, UW considered making a motion to challenge the call, thinking something was up with the clock. No further word on that.
