Tonight's Picks

We're very picky, and self-conscious. So going forward, we will be meticulously culling each night's slate of games and selecting a few that we wouldn't mind dropping a few bills on. Our selections are below, and you can finally expect to see this each morning, per the work of Luckey, an Atlantic City regular.

  • Georgetown (-2.5) over Butler: I know Butler shouldn't be considered a "mid-major" and they have lots of weapons this year, but they will not be able to handle the Hoyas tonight. Butler's offense and Gordon Hayward will be shut down in the most massive of stages, the Garden, by a G'town team that's not overwhelmed by this atmosphere.
  • Dayton (-2.5) over GMU: Look for the Flyers to make it four wins in a row on their run back to the Top 25, with a big win over George Mason. Dayton's Chris Wright will dominate on the road and the Patriots shouldn't keep it close for much longer than the first half.
  • Xavier (+5) over Kansas St.: Chris Mack's X-Men have stumbled early, but should put some of these growing pains behind them against Kansas State. Look for Xavier to play a lot of 3 guard sets, which will matchup well against Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente, to keep the game high scoring.
