ESPN released it's 2010 Gameday schedule today, and frankly it didn't do much to get us excited for the upcoming season. Yes you have your Duke-UNC end-of-season clash, a trip to the Carrier Dome, even a nice acknowledgment of the Pac-10 with a trip to Seattle. But hang on here...no Lawrence, Kansas, a visit to Clemson, and a women's game??? I am not quite salivating over this.
Yes the show itself is entertaining and they do a good job of setting the plate for what's to come for the weekend. We enjoy the mild jabs at Digger, the Hubert Davis hyena laugh, and the grounded Jay Bilas who actually knows what the heck is going on with remarks like "good teams play good teams, and good teams beat good teams."
But seriously, the guys are good...and affirmation that Erin Andrews will return from hibernation to man the sidelines for this slate of games makes them great. Below is your schedule for 2010.
January 16th: Storrs, Conn. - Notre Dame at Connecticut (Women’s)
January 23rd: Clemson, S.C. - Duke at Clemson
January 30th: Manhattan, Kan. - Kansas at Kansas State
February 6th: Champaign, Ill. - Michigan State at Illinois
February 13th: Lexington, Ky. - Tennessee at Kentucky
February 20th: Seattle, Wash. - UCLA at Washington
February 27th: Syracuse, N.Y. - Villanova at Syracuse
March 6th: Durham, N.C. - North Carolina at Duke
