We live in a world where old news is anything that occured more than 24 hours ago, so you may or may not have completely forgotten about the autistic teenager from Chicago who had a perfect bracket going through the Sweet 16. That's right, he had Cornell, Saint Mary's and Northern Iowa. Murray State, too.
It was a compelling item to follow, but reality defecated all over Alex Hermann's bracket during the second weekend of the tournament. So much so that zero of Hermann's Final Four selections are left.
It's still awesome Hermann correctly picked the first 48 games of the tournament, especially given the upsets. He earned the right for a follow-up from myself. But when their is 37 gagillion (or something like that) possibilities when filling out a complete bracket, perfection should not be expected.
