We've got one of the best slate's of college basketball all season, and our resident handicapper is off the grid. If you're willing to take advice from a complete stranger, then follow my lead and lay your bets down as follows...
Ohio State @ Michigan (+10.5): Take Michigan - Jared Sullinger & Friends might be getting bored, and the Wolverines were able to hang with with Kansas on Sunday, a squad that looks eerily similiar to the Buckeyes. I suspect these teams to stay within a single digit deficit for all 40 minutes.
Louisville @ Villanova (-4.5): Take Villanova - This is only the Cardinals third true road game, and their first true road test. Villanova has a sizable advantage in the backcourt, and they should feel mighty comfortable covering that friendly spread.
Syracuse @ St. Johns (+3.0): Take Syracuse - It's unclear if the Jonnies are ready, or even capable, of making that next step this season. Tonight's test against a seasoned Orange squad - always comfortable playing in Madison Square Garden - won't be easy. The Rick Jackson - Jared Brownlee battle may be the best indicator who wins this game. We'll go with the bigger name brand.
*Stay away from Pittsburgh @ Georgetown (-2.5): Yes that's right, the Panthers are getting 2.5 points. They might be the best team in the Big East, yet play the role of dogs tonight. The Hoyas are second in the country in true shooting percentage, but have lost three of their last five. Anything could happen in this game. Do watch and enjoy, but avoid the impulsive wager.
