Tonight's College Basketball Picks

Wisconsin @ Purdue(-4.5):Take Wisconsin- The Badgers are playing with confidence and swagger right now, but that won't win you games in West Lafayette. I expect it to be a close match throughout, with Wisconsin struggling to stop the JaJuan Johnson show on defense, but staying in it with the star Taylor and the standstill shooters on the other end. Second place in the Big Ten is on the line, and two outstanding veteran teams should make for a nail-biter.

Louisville @ Cincinnati(-1):Take Louisville- The return of forward Raheem Buckles was overshadowed by the Cardinals win over Syracuse on Saturday, but Buckles health is key in giving Louisville front-court depth. They'll need it as they battle Yancy Gates and Ibrahima Thomas on the glass this evening. The Bearcats are 1-6 against the Big East top nine teams as they've struggled to find a go-to scorer. Dion Dixon is they're best shooter, but he's dropped two goose-eggs in the last six games. I like a tough Louisville squad on the road tonight.

New Mexico @ San Diego St.(-10):Take San Diego St.- Steve Fisher called the atmosphere at SDSU home games as good as any in the nation. Tonight, fans will be on tilt as Dairese Gary and New Mexico come to town. SDSU handled the Lobos in the Pit 87-77 earlier this year, and while New Mexico has improved since then, so have the Aztecs. After an inconsistent four game stretch, D.J. Gay has scored 35 points in the previous two games for SDSU. To keep an outside shot at a #1 seed alive, they must have this game.

Overall: 37-32-1
